Lung cancer screening is slowly but steadily entering the realm of preventive health maintenance. Standardization of reporting of positive findings identified on screening low-dose CT (LDCT) scans, specifically lung nodules, is a key element of high-quality lung cancer screening. The American College of Radiology developed the Lung CT Screening Reporting and Data System (Lung-RADS) system for this purpose. In addition to detailed categorization of lung nodules, Lung-RADS identifies category S for other incidental findings identified on screening LDCT scans. In contrast to the highly structured

UNLABELLED: Pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB) remains a major public health challenge in low- and middle-income countries. PTB may leave residual cavitation following treatment in some patients, allowing saprophytic colonization by Aspergillus species, resulting in a slow, progressive lung condition known as chronic pulmonary aspergillosis (CPA). PTB is the commonest underlying condition in CPA, mainly post-treatment. CPA is likely to be misdiagnosed as PTB reactivation due to clinical and radiological similarities. Ghana has a significant PTB burden, but only one case of clinically and radiologica

Bronchiectasis is characterized by inflammation and abnormal dilatation of the airways secondary to various etiologies. A diagnosis of bronchiectasis requires that both radiological and clinical features are present. Determination of the etiology of bronchiectasis is important to allow specific treatment and should be guided by clinical features. The prognosis of bronchiectasis is highly variable, with severe cases suffering frequent exacerbations and hospitalizations, debilitating symptoms, and elevated mortality. Treatment is demanding, but adherence to treatment is associated with improved

Sialolithiasis is a common salivary gland disease. It may cause swelling of the gland, infection of the gland, or even death of glandular parenchymal cells. Various treatment modalities are available for management of sialolithiasis such as extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy, sialoendoscopy, laser intracorporeal lithotripsy, interventional radiology, the video-assisted conservative surgical removal of the parotid, and submandibular calculi. These sophisticated procedures may not be available in all health-care centers. In this article, a new simple yet precise technique for management of du

Cushing's disease is rare in the paediatric age group. The disease manifestations are similar to that seen in adults. Most of the management protocols have, therefore, been adopted from experience in adults and the therapeutic strategies employed in the latter group. Management of paediatric Cushing's disease poses significant challenges with regard to achieving an optimal growth, a proper body composition, an adequate bone health and reproductive capability as well as a good quality of life. This article reviews the special clinical, biochemical, radiological, surgical, and adjunctive therape

With the advent of high-resolution computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and ultrasonography, the frequency of radiologists' serendipitous discovery of incidentalomas is increasing. If the radiologist believes an incidentaloma is of no clinical significance, then making mention of it in the radiological report may possibly lead to a cascade of tests, biopsies, and other surgical procedures, which occasionally can cause serious complications. But if the incidentaloma is not reported and it later turns out to be an early carcinoma or sign of other significant disease, the patient's he
