BACKGROUND: The treatment of non-melanoma skin cancer and deadliest malignant melanoma skin cancer are the fifth and ninth most expensive treatments in Medicare, respectively. This study comprehensively investigates the thermal and mechanical degradation behavior of molded glass-fiber-reinforced plastic (GFRP) grating composites subjected to temperatures ranging from 80 °C to 320 °C. PURPOSE: To investigate the thermal effects, dermal remodeling, and safety of a novel direct contact cooling (DCC) based monopolar radiofrequency (RF) system using a minipig model.
