Pulmonary metastases from choriocarcinoma can very rarely give rise to a 'miliary' pattern on the chest X-ray. A 23-year-old woman with a diffuse nodular pattern on chest X-ray died due to acute respiratory failure and cor pulmonale. At autopsy, choriocarcinoma of the uterus was found. In the lungs, multiple macrovascular tumour emboli within branches of pulmonary muscular arteries in the region of segmental/subsegmental bronchi were detected. The authors point out the case of a young woman with AIDS who presents at the same time the test HIV (+), the secondary caseoextensive bilateral pulmonary tuberculosis confirmed by the bacterial examination (bK(+) culture), the skin's and pulmonary histological manifestations of the Kaposi disease, clinically suspected, was confirmed only at the autopsy. Clinical manifestations began with skin's modifications, followed 2-3 months later by the diagnosis of a pulmonary tuberculosis, the demise decease 4-5 month after the appearance of the first skin's lesion.

Miliary infiltrates observed on chest films in non-Hodgkin's lymphoma are extremely rare. We report a case with pulmonary infiltrates mimicking miliary tuberculosis associated with prominent eosinophilia and elevated IgE levels. Three cases of erythema induratum which occurred in the patients with pulmonary tuberculosis are described. The cutaneous lesions were violaceous, indurated nodules on both lower legs above the malleoli. Histologically, tuberculoid granuloma with caseation necrosis was found in one case; necrotizing vasculitis was the prominent finding in other two cases. The erythema induratum promptly responded to antituberculous therapy. We believe that, in light of these cases, the association between erythema induratum and infection with tubercle bacilli should be re-emphasized.

Sixty-four non-immunocompromised and adult patients with proved tuberculosis were examined. Twenty-three of them had bacteriologic confirmation with sputum examination, 7 with biopsy, 8 with bronchoscopy and bronchial lavage, 3 with pleural effusion examination and 3 with specific ex-juvantibus therapy. Fifteen patients had positive Mantoux skin tests. Thirty-nine patients had primary and 25 postprimary tuberculosis. A case is presented of a rare form of pulmonary miliary tuberculosis in a 14-year-old boy beginning with dramatic symptoms with negative the test and negative result of bacterioscopy. The preliminary diagnosis was made on the basis of clinical observation and radiological examination. Confirmation was achieved after obtaining of a positive result of bacteriological examination.

Oral calcium tolerance test was done for 17 normal subjects and 26 pulmonary tuberculous patients. Dysphagia in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis may be due to tuberculous esophagitis or compression of the esophagus by enlarged mediastinal lymph nodes or mediastinal fibrosis.
