Blood pressure is a standard vital sign in patients evaluated in an Emergency Department. The American Heart Association has recommended a preferred position of the arm and cuff when measuring blood pressure. There is no formal recommendation for arm position when measuring orthostatic blood pressure. Arm lymphedema develops in 10%-35% of patients who undergo axillary dissection and/or nodal radiation therapy for breast cancer. BACKGROUND: While concerns about road rage have grown over the past decade, states have made it easier for motorists to carry firearms in their vehicles. Are motorists with guns in the car more or less likely to engage in hostile and aggressive behavior?

A 33 years-old female with a diagnosis of Kartagener's syndrome was studied. She had a clinical history of chronic sinusitis with nasal obstruction and rhinorrea, and a chronic cough with mucopurulent sputum. A paranasal sinus CT showed hypertrophyc mucosa. A thoracic CT showed a situs inversus and chronic bronchitis with bronchiectasis. The saccharin test lasted 55 minutes. The electron microscopy study showed in a a cross-sectional axoneme a total absence of the outer and inner arm of the 9th outer doublet in over a 100 cilias studied. No others ultrastructure anormalities were observed.

Four patients, one man aged 66 years and three women aged 69, 33 and 55 years, respectively, had postsurgical pain and weakness in the shoulder-arm region. We report on a boy with long-arm deletion of chromosome 10 and compare this case to 10 previously reported patients. He had right cryptorchidism and absence of the left testis, but the size of his penis was normal. Cytogenetic analysis of the case showed the deficiency of 10q26.1-26.3 and the presence of 10qter. Four of 10 previously reported patients had an intersex phenotype, and all others had combinations of cryptorchidism, micropenis and hypospadias. These facts indicate that the terminal of chromosome 10q is strongly associated with abnormal male development.

One hundred humeral shaft fractures have been treated by closed retrograde locked intramedullary nailing. According to author's opinion, urogenital tuberculosis is a grave disease, which often leads to patients' invalidism and lethal outcomes. Latent course, difficulties of diagnosis and the absence of due suspiciousness account for the fact, that 62.5% of cases end with cavernous tuberculosis of kidneys. Based on the analysis of 53 case histories, the main causes of postponed diagnosis of urogenital tuberculosis are discussed, the group of risk for development of this disease is delineated and the recommendations for its prophylaxis in servicemen are substantiated.
