Using a Digital-Based Mindfulness Curriculum to Enhance Healthy Aging Outcomes in Community-Dwelling Older Adults in Taiwan: Mixed Methods Feasibility Study.

BACKGROUND: Taiwan's status as a super-aged society underscores the need for efficient strategies to promote healthy aging. While the benefits of mindfulness-based interventions for sleep and mental health are evident, there is a shortage of cultural adaptations for Taiwan's older adults. Current courses mainly focus on mindfulness-based stress reduction, while neglecting mindfulness-based elder care, and mindful sustainable aging principles. However, the abstract nature of some mindfulness concepts, combined with limited digital support and localized resources, makes it challenging for older

Human resource digital risk management and sustainable work-life balance in digital work environments: examining the sequential roles of mindful technology use and techno-boundary crafting.

INTRODUCTION: As economies modernize rapidly, digital transformation has changed the nature of work itself-often faster than employees can psychologically and socially adjust to it. This study looks at how Human Resource Digital Risk Management (HRDRM) supports Sustainable Work-Life Balance (SWLB) among Saudi knowledge workers, and specifically how this happens through a two-step behavioral process: first Mindful Technology Use (MTU), then Techno-Boundary Crafting (TBC). METHODS: We surveyed 665 knowledge workers across three sectors in Saudi Arabia-IT and technology services, banking and fin

Beyond the filter: Impact of popularity on the mental health of social media influencers.

OBJECTIVE: This study examines the emotional state and interpersonal relationships of social media influencers, focusing on the psychological effects of their popularity and engagement. Despite increased awareness of mental health issues, influencers remain underrepresented in research. Barriers such as low mental health literacy, stigma, access issues, and the pressure to maintain virtual personas highlight the need for this investigation. This research addresses these gaps by systematically examining the impact of social media on influencers' mental health. METHODS: An online survey was con

Vascular Eagle Syndrome in Elderly Patients Diagnosed by Dynamic Magnetic Resonance Angiography: A Case Report and Literature Review.

Dynamic assessment by computed tomography angiography or digital subtraction angiography is important for the diagnosis of vascular eagle syndrome, although these require the use of contrast media. Magnetic resonance angiography with neck flexion and extension, named dynamic magnetic resonance angiography, can dynamically evaluate the relationship between the internal carotid artery and the styloid process with no use of contrast media. A 74-year-old male with chronic kidney disease was rushed to our hospital due to recurrent infarction in the left cerebral hemisphere. Magnetic resonance angio

How People Integrate Mental Health Apps Into Everyday Self-Care: Qualitative Study.

BACKGROUND: Mobile mental health (MH) apps are increasingly promoted as tools for self-care. However, less is known about how users integrate them into everyday life and how they combine with other forms of support. OBJECTIVE: This qualitative study examined what motivates individuals to adopt MH apps and how these tools are used alongside other care practices. METHODS: We conducted semistructured interviews with 31 Czech MH app users aged 18-56 (23 women), recruited through social media, researchers' networks, and snowball sampling. Eligible participants had used an MH app for at least 2 we

Perceived digital health information support and self-rated health among Chinese adults: physical activity mediation and chronic health condition moderation.

BACKGROUND: Digital health resources provide new opportunities for health information seeking, decision-making, and self-management. Yet residents differ in how they understand, evaluate, and use online health information. This study focuses on perceived digital health information support, namely the perceived usefulness of internet-based information for medical understanding and health-related decision support. Evidence remains limited on how this perceived support relates to self-rated health through physical activity and whether this association differs by chronic health needs and populatio

Change in attitudes after a suicide prevention media campaign in the Mid-Norway region.

BACKGROUND: Suicide prevention media campaigns are one way of reaching people at increased suicide risk who would otherwise not seek help. Digital social contacts predict reduced loneliness in chronic depression: an exploratory longitudinal study.

Social media use (SMU) is linked to loneliness and mental health. Yet its effects especially in severe and persistent mental disorders, such as chronic depression (CD), remain underinvestigated. Therefore, this observational longitudinal study investigated how SMU patterns relate to loneliness in CD and whether rejection sensitivity moderates these associations. A total of 124 individuals with CD completed measures of loneliness, rejection sensitivity, social networks, and SMU at baseline and after 10 weeks. Baseline correlation analyses identified significant associations of greater digital c

Mental vulnerability, family dysfunction, and digital exposure: Overlooked burdens in populations with noncommunicable chronic diseases.

In this article, we comment on the recent network analysis by Li et al, which explores depression, anxiety, and their associated factors in individuals with noncommunicable chronic diseases (NCDs). We highlight three often-overlooked domains in this population: Mental vulnerability (depression, anxiety, fatigue, nervousness), dysfunction in family functioning (family health, intimate partner violence), and digital exposure (media exposure, problematic internet use), and examine their dynamic interrelations within a psychosocial network framework. The findings reveal a complex system in which e
