Foreign bodies in the bladder can occur by self-insertion, and patients often hide the symptoms owing to embarrassment. The foreign bodies act as a nidus for calculus formation when not detected for a long time. Foreign bodies can declare symptoms such as frequency, dysuria, nocturia, hematuria, urethrorrhagia, obstruction, or retention. This case spotlights self-inserted intravesical neodymium magnetic spheres clumped and calcified due to delayed presentation which were removed by open cystotomy after a cystoscopic failure.

Two cases of haemorrhagic cystitis following treatment with methicillin and penicillin G are presented. Two males, aged 24 and 45 years, presented identical symptoms including haematuria, dysuria and pollakisuria. The condition has in rare instances been described as caused by antibiotic treatment; in all cases a penicillin was involved. All symptoms promptly vanished when the antibiotic treatment was stopped, and the reactions were possibly allergic since cross-reactions between different penicillins have been described in earlier cases.

Peripheral nerve injury is a result of the rare and crippling Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) disease. Although it can happen at any age, progressive muscle weakening is most obvious in adolescence or the early stages of adulthood. We present a case of an 81-year-old female with recurrent urinary tract infections (UTIs), complaints of abdominal pain and constipation, as well as dysuria with abnormal electrolyte levels. This case serves as an effective symptomatic treatment plan for a patient with this rare neuromuscular disorder.

Zinners syndrome (SC) is a rare congenital disease characterized by ejaculatory duct obstruction, seminal vesicle cyst in combination with ipsilateral renal agenesis. This syndrome is due to development arrest of the Wolffian duct (mesonephros). Before the onset of sexual activity, the disease is asymptomatic. The main symptoms are nonspecific, including dysuria, urinary frequency, perineal and scrotal pain after ejaculation. A clinical case with the presentation of our own experience of surgical robot-assisted treatment of a patient with Zinners syndrome is presented in the article.

Rhabdomyosarcoma of the prostate is rarely found in adults compared to rhabdomyosarcoma in other body regions. In early stage of the tumor, the symptoms are similar to other genitourinary problems, such as dysuria, urinary retention, lower abdominal pain and prostate enlargement. This condition often leads to misdiagnosis and treatment delay because of the tumor's rapid growth. Asides from the histopathological examination, imaging had an important role in determining the diagnosis. MRI is very useful and more preferred than other imaging modalities in determining the diagnosis.

Primary urethral lymphoma is a rare entity without a standardized treatment protocol. We report a case of an elderly woman presenting with a caruncle associated with vaginal spotting and intermittent dysuria. She underwent surgical excision of the lesion. Histological analysis revealed a blastoid variant of mantle cell lymphoma, a previously unreported subtype. The patient received chlorambucil assisting a rapid local disease progression. She died of disseminated disease 6 months after diagnosis. A review of the lymphomas of the urethra is included.

Seminal vesicle cysts are rare clinical entities estimated to occur in 0.005% of the male population. These cysts could be either congenital or acquired, primary or secondary. The majority of these cysts are asymptomatic and discovered incidentally. Larger cysts could present with a wide array of symptoms such as dysuria, acute urinary retention, perineal discomfort, or hematospermia. We hereby present a case of bilateral seminal vesicle cysts arising due to prostate adenocarcinoma. We discuss the presentation of such cysts, their method of diagnosis, and the approach to management.

We here report the case of a 75 year old patient, with lower urinary tract obstructive syndrome such as dysuria, nocturnal pollakiuria and dribbling. Clinical examination showed good general condition by examining the rectum with the finger, soft, painless prostate increased in volume with obliteration of the median sulcus. PSA level was 2,1ng/ml, prostatic weight was 240 g on ultrasound. The patient underwent surgery: transvesical adenomectomy with extraction of a giant adenoma weighing 246 g. Histologic examination showed adenomyofibroma.

Wilms' tumor is the most common malignant solid tumor of the kidneys in children. Extrarenal Wilms' tumor is extremely rare. Herein, we report an 8-month-old boy with a chief complaint of frequent micturition and dysuria for 10 days. Physical examination and ultrasonography evaluation revealed simultaneous involvement of neoplasms in the left kidney and the bladder. Following excision of the masses, both were identified as Wilms' tumor by histopathology and immunohistochemistry. The two neoplasms are presumed to have developed independently because of the different pathological manifestation.

INTRODUCTION: Various cases of self-inflicted foreign bodies in the male urethra have been reported. Most of them are associated with autoerotic stimulation, psychiatric disorders or intoxication.
CASE PRESENTATION: We report the first case of a patient who put an Allen key completely in his urethra. The patient presented with dysuria, haematuria and penile pain.
CONCLUSION: A self-inflicted urethral foreign body is a rare situation. Endoscopic removal is the recommended first-line treatment and if unsuccessful, open procedures may be necessary.

Epidermolysis bullosa is a rare inherited bullous disorder of the skin that occasionally involves the urinary tract. We describe a child with a history of epidermolysis bullosa who presented with hematuria, urgency, and dysuria. On radiographic investigation, bladder wall lesions were found. On cystoscopy, these were bullous lesions on the urinary bladder that at biopsy were shown to have inflammatory changes without evidence of malignancy. This is consistent with rare involvement of the bladder in epidermolysis bullosa. Symptomatic treatment resolved this patient's urologic complaints.

A 14-yr-old male brown capuchin monkey (Cebus apella) was presented to the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel, with stranguria. The history included distal urethral obstruction and a previous surgical attempt to create a urinary diversion through the perineum. A perineal urethrostomy was performed. In a 17-mo follow-up period, neither stranguria nor dysuria was observed, and the monkey's social behavior appeared normal. Perineal urethrostomy appears to be a simple and practical procedure in primates with a compromised distal urethra.

Infective endocarditis caused by Proteus mirabilis is rare and is fatal in most cases. A case of a 64-year-old man presenting with fever, dysuria, and murmur is reported. P mirabilis endocarditis was diagnosed based on clinical presentation, blood culture findings, and the presence of a large mitral valve vegetation seen on echocardiogram. The patient survived after long-term antibiotics and surgical replacement of the mitral valve. The clinical characteristics and complications from reported cases of P mirabilis endocarditis are reviewed.

A 54-year-old woman presented with repeated episodes of urinary retention during an approximately 7-month period of dysuria. Computerized tomography scan revealed a right ovarian cyst and a small uterine myoma. At operation, the ovarian cyst was deeply incarcerated into the pouch of Douglas displacing the bladder neck and the uterine cervix in the anterocephalad direction. Histological diagnosis of the resected cyst was benign mucinous cystadenoma. This is the 5th reported case of urinary retention caused by ovarian cyst in the Japanese literature.

The aim of the investigation was to classify urethral variability as seen on micturating cystograms of 193 young girls and to study the physiological and pathological significance of the various shapes. It was shown that significant abnormalities were associated with all types of urethral configuration. Five cases of inverted papilloma in the bladder are reported. All cases were males complaining of dysuria or hematuria. Total cystectomy with construction of ileal conduit was carried out in the first case, and transurethral resection in the other cases. Every surgical specimen was histologically diagnosed as inverted papilloma.
