Granulocyte colony stimulating factor versus human chorionic gonadotropin for recurrent implantation failure in intra cytoplasmic sperm injection: a randomized clinical trial.

Источник пометил публикацию как отозванную

BACKGROUND: Repeated implantation failure (RIF) is defined as the case whereby the transferred embryos fail to implant after several attempts of In vitro fertilization (IVF) which causes a profound impact on the quality of life and financial burden. Some clinical studies have confirmed that Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) and human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) can improve pregnancy outcomes and implantation rates. Hence, our study aims to compare the efficacy of G-CSF and HCG on pregnancy outcomes in RIF women who undergo intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). METHODS: This r…

Autoimmune Pulmonary Alveolar Proteinosis Complicated with Sarcoidosis: the Clinical Course and Serum Levels of Anti-granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating Factor Autoantibody.

Autoimmune pulmonary alveolar proteinosis (APAP) is caused by macrophage dysfunction due to anti-granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) autoantibody. We experienced 2 cases of APAP complicated with sarcoidosis in a 42-year-old woman and a 51-year-old man (age at the sarcoidosis diagnosis). APAP preceded sarcoidosis in the woman, and both diseases were diagnosed simultaneously in the man. Sarcoidosis lesions were observed in the lung, skin, and eyes, and the pathological findings of APAP were not marked at the diagnosis of sarcoidosis in either case. Low-grade positive serum

Expression of granulocyte macrophage-colony stimulating factor and its receptor in the synovium of osteoarthritis patients is negatively correlated with pain.

OBJECTIVES: The crosstalk between the immune and nervous system in the regulation of OA pain is increasingly becoming evident. GM-CSF signals in both systems and might be a new treatment target to control OA pain. Anti GM-CSF treatment has analgesic effects in OA without affecting synovitis scores, suggesting that treatment effects are not caused by local anti-inflammatory effects. We aimed to evaluate whether expression of GM-CSF and its receptor GM-CSFrα in synovial tissue is linked to synovial inflammation and/or knee pain in knee OA patients. METHODS: Cartilage and synovial tissue of knee

Long-Acting IL-33 Mobilizes High-Quality Hematopoietic Stem and Progenitor Cells More Efficiently Than Granulocyte Colony-Stimulating Factor or AMD3100.

Mobilization of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs) has become increasingly important for hematopoietic cell transplantation. Cu … ice mobilized HSPCs and common myeloid progenitors more efficiently than clinical mobilizing agents granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) or AMD3100. We engineered several oxidation-resistant IL-33 variants with equal or better in vitro activity. In vivo, these variants mobilized HSPCs and, interestingly, also hematopoietic stem cells, common lymphoid progenitor cells, and end …

Granulocyte-colony stimulating factor-associated aortitis in a woman with advanced breast cancer: a case report and review of the literature.

BACKGROUND: Granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (G-CSF) is increasingly been used to prevent febrile neutropenia (FN) associated with the administration of chemotherapy for various cancers. The most common adverse effects of G-CSF are bone pain and injection-site reactions and aortitis has rarely been reported. We report herein a rare case of G-CSF associated with aortitis in a woman with advanced breast cancer. CASE PRESENTATION: A 72-year-old woman with estrogen receptor-negative human epidermal growth factor 2-positive breast cancer with distant metastases in the lung was admitted. Her t

Time resolved quantitative phospho-tyrosine analysis reveals Bruton's Tyrosine kinase mediated signaling downstream of the mutated granulocyte-colony stimulating factor receptors.

Granulocyte-colony stimulating factor receptor (G-CSFR) controls myeloid progenitor proliferation and differentiation to neutrophils. Mutations in CSF3R (encoding G-CSFR) have been reported in patients with chronic neutrophilic leukemia (CNL) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML); however, despite years of research, the malignant downstream signaling of the mutated G-CSFRs is not well understood. Here, we used a quantitative phospho-tyrosine analysis to generate a comprehensive signaling map of G-CSF induced tyrosine phosphorylation in the normal versus mutated (proximal: T618I and truncated: Q741x

Adenoviral-expressed recombinant granulocyte monocyte colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) enhances protective immunity induced by inactivated Newcastle Disease Virus (NDV) vaccine.

Although vaccination has been hugely successful in protecting birds against infection by the New castle disease virus (NDV), newly-emerged highly virulent strains have been found to overcome established immune protection and threaten the poultry industry. The need to improve the immunization efficacy is, therefore, urgent. Here, we tested the potential immunostimulatory adjuvant activity of the adenoviral-expressed recombinant chicken granulocyte monocyte colony stimulating factor (rchGM-CSF) in an inactivated Newcastle Disease Virus (NDV) vaccine. 126 commercial layer chicks, divided into six

Role of Granulocyte-Macrophage Colony-Stimulating Factor Signaling in Regulating Neutrophil Antifungal Activity and the Oxidative Burst During Respiratory Fungal Challenge.

Granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) is a pleiotropic cytokine that plays a critical role in regulating myeloid cell host defense. In this study, we demonstrated that GM-CSF signaling plays an essential role in antifungal defense against Aspergillus fumigatus. Mice that lack the GM-CSF receptor β chain (GM-CSFRβ) developed invasive hyphal growth and exhibited impaired survival after pulmonary challenge with A. fumigatus conidia. GM-CSFRβ signaling regulated the recruitment of inflammatory monocytes to infected lungs, but not the recruitment of effector neutrophils. Cell-in

Impaired neutrophil chemotaxis in Crohn's disease relates to reduced production of chemokines and can be augmented by granulocyte-colony stimulating factor.

BACKGROUND: Defective neutrophil recruitment has been described as a primary pathogenic abnormality in Crohn's disease. Cantharidin-induced blisters provide a novel investigative tool to assess cellular influx and inflammatory mediator production during acute inflammation and allows the effects of therapy on these parameters to be measured. AIMS: To determine whether reduced neutrophil tissue penetration in Crohn's disease relates to impaired production of inflammatory mediators, and whether it can be reversed by granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (G-CSF). METHODS: Neutrophil and monocyte

Human immunodeficiency virus type 1 infection inhibits granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor-induced activation of STAT5A in human monocyte-derived macrophages.

Human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) infects cells of the monocyte/macrophage lineage. While infection of macrophages by HIV-1 is generally not cytopathic, it does impair macrophage function. In this study, we examined the effect of HIV-1 infection on intracellular signaling in human monocyte-derived macrophages (MDM) stimulated with the growth factor granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF). GM-CSF is an important growth factor for cells of both the macrophage and granulocyte lineages and enhances effector functions of these cells via the heterodimeric GM-CSF receptor
