A suitable analytical method is required to study the behaviour of florfenicol (FF) and its metabolite florfenicol amine (FFA) in broiler's feathers. An LC-MS/MS method was developed, assessed and intra-laboratory-validated for FF and FFA analyses. Typhonium flagelliforme (TF) is a tropical plant, traditionally used by the ethnic population of Malaysia for the cure of various cancers. This plant had shown to induce antiproliferative effect as well as apoptosis in cancer cells. Several plants of Satureja genus have shown anti-tumor activity. We investigated the antileukemia effects of different fractions of Satureja hortensis (Summer savory). The growth inhibitory effect of S. hortensis fractions on K562 and Jurkat leukemia cells were determined by MTT assay.
