A simple and automated HPLC column-switching method with rapid sample pretreatment has been developed for quantitative determination of β-carotene in food supplements. PURPOSE: To evaluate changes in choroidal blood flow in patients with Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada (VKH) disease after initiation of corticosteroid treatment.
METHODS: Fourteen patients (10 men and 4 women) with acute VKH disease followed for 2 years were retrospectively reviewed; only right eyes were included in the analysis. Expression of the c-myc proto-oncogene is deregulated in many human cancers. We examined the role of c-Myc in stimulating angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis in a highly metastatic murine model of Burkitt's lymphoma (E micro -c-myc), where c-Myc is expressed exclusively in B lymphocytes.
