A 78-year-old woman was diagnosed with stage III diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, and treated with chemotherapy in 2004. Imaging follow-up was performed by serial 6-month diagnostic PET/CT scans. A PET/CT scan performed in June 2011 showed an unusual hourglass appearance of activity in the pelvis that prompted further investigation. Retrospective review of the prior diagnostic PET/CT scans revealed that the patient had a sliding bladder, located either above or below the pubococcygeal line at different imaging times, but during this scan, the bladder was "caught" moving up to its normal position

Often viewed as a potential tool for preclinical diagnosis in early asymptomatic stages of Alzheimer's disease (AD), the term "endophenotype" has acquired a recent popularity in the field. In this review, we analyze the construct of endophenotype-originally designed to discover genes, and examine the literature on potential endophenotypes for the late-onset form of AD (LOAD). PURPOSE: To report a case of presumed ocular tuberculosis where a fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) PET/CT scan was used to image the chest.
DESIGN: Single case report.
METHODS: A 35-year-old female patient with recurrent posterior uveitis was examined and investigated.
RESULTS: A complete blood study was normal. A tuberculosis quantiferon gold test was positive (5.25 IU). CT scan studies of the chest were normal. She was advised to undergo a PET/CT scan. Increased uptake of tracer was seen in right paratracheal, precarinal, and bilateral hilar nodes and in the left choroid.

Mutations in tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) genes are associated with dysregulated mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR)/Akt signaling and unusual neoplasms called perivascular epithelioid cell tumors (PEComas), including angiomyolipomas (AMLs) and lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM).
