A neuropathogenic variant of Friend murine leukemia virus (FrMLV), clone A8, has been shown to cause thymoma and infiltration of leukemic cells to organs at 7-8 weeks post-infection in rats with a more rapid progression than clone 57. The hematologic, cytomorphologic, and cytogenetic features of 50 cases of leukemia cutis (LC), occurring in 40 patients, are presented. The patients' ages ranged from 19 to 75 years (mean, 42 years).
