Dose-Response Relationship of Photobiomodulation Therapy on Matrix Metalloproteinase in Healing Dynamics of Diabetic Neuropathic Ulcers-An in vivo Study.

Individuals with diabetic foot ulcers have overlapped the inflammatory, proliferative and remodeling phase, making the tissue vulnerable to delayed healing responses. We aimed to establish the dose-response relationship of photobiomodulation therapy of different doses and matrix metalloproteinases in the healing dynamics of diabetic neuropathic ulcers. Diabetes was induced in 126 Albino Wistar rats, and neuropathy was induced to the hind paw by a sciatic nerve injury method. An excisional wound was created on the neuropathy-induced leg. Photobiomodulation therapy of dosages 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and

Photobiomodulation therapy combined with static magnetic field in tibial fracture healing of a dog: A case report.

A 10-week-old male, Xoloitzcuintle (Mexican hairless dog), weighing 8.9 kg was presented after its owner accidentally stepped on its paw. The dog presented with acute pain, inflammation and grade IV lameness in the right hind paw. A complete transverse fracture in the right proximal tibia was diagnosed from radiography. The dog underwent a minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis (MIPO) procedure. After surgery, photobiomodulation therapy combined with static magnetic field (PBMT-sMF) was applied twice daily for 21 days. A multi-wavelength PBMT-sMF device was applied at three sites using differ

Effects of low-level laser therapy in adults with rheumatoid arthritis: A systematic review and meta-analysis of controlled trials.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an inflammatory, systemic and chronic disease that mainly affects the joints. It is characterized mainly by pain, edema and joint stiffness, which can lead to significant loss of functional capacity and quality of life. Several physical therapy resources are used in the treatment of AR, such as low-level laser therapy (LLLT) and its analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects. However, the efficacy of LLLT in AR is still controversial. The objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of low-level laser therapy in adults with RA. Methods and findings: We searched

Bio-modulated mice epithelial endometrial organoids by low-level laser therapy serves as an invitro model for endometrial regeneration.

Endometrial regeneration is a dynamic process that is not well understood. The destruction of the endometrium with the formation of intrauterine adhesions is known as Asherman's syndrome. The lesions range from minor to severe adhesions and their impact on pregnancy is well documented. Operative hysteroscopy is the mainstay of diagnosis and treatment of intrauterine adhesions. Nevertheless, the recurrence rates remain high. It was recorded that low-level laser therapy in low doses has a stimulatory effect on different tissues while the high dose produces a suppressive effect. Organoid is a thr

Photobiomodulation therapy preconditioning modifies nitric oxide pathway and oxidative stress in human-induced pluripotent stem cell-derived ventricular cardiomyocytes treated with doxorubicin.

Doxorubicin (DOX) is an anthracycline antibiotic that exhibits high heart toxicity. Human-induced pluripotent stem cell-derived ventricular cardiomyocytes (hiPSC-vCMs) are important in vitro models for testing drug cardiotoxicity. Photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT) is a non-invasive therapy that stimulates cells growth and self-repair using light irradiation. This study aimed to investigate the in vitro effects of PBMT preconditioning on cardiotoxicity induced by DOX. HiPSC-vCMs were treated with PBMT for 500 s, followed by the addition of 2 μM DOX. LED irradiation preconditioning parameters we

Does Low-Level Laser Therapy Decrease Muscle-Damaging Mediators After Performance in Soccer Athletes Versus Sham Laser Treatment? A Critically Appraised Topic.

Clinical Scenario: Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) is a controversial topic for its use in athletic recovery, mainly due to inconsistency in research regarding the application of LLLT. Articles on LLLT have assessed its effectiveness in untrained humans through pain scales, functional scales, and blood draws, and it has been found capable in nonathletic rehabilitative use. The controversy lies with LLLT in the recovering athlete. Not only do athletes need to perform at high levels, but each sport is unique in the metabolic demands placed on the athletes' bodies. This modality can alter chemical

Low-level laser therapy as a modifier of erythrocytes morphokinetic parameters in hyperadrenalinemia.

Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) is widely used in clinical practice for treatment of various pathologies. It is assumed that LLLT impact on microcirculation is among the mechanisms underlying its therapeutic effect. The microcirculation disorder is observed in the pathogenesis of any inflammatory process and is significantly influenced by red blood cells (RBCs). On this point, studying the RBCs morphology under the influence of LLLT on alterated organism is of scientific interest and practical importance. The aim of the present study was to analyze the LLLT effect on morphokinetic parameters of

Photobiomodulation using low-level 808 nm diode laser rescues cochlear synaptopathy after acoustic overexposure in rat.

A certain degree of noise can cause hearing problems without a permanent change in the hearing threshold, which is called hidden hearing loss and results from partial loss of auditory synapses. Photobiomodulation (PBM) enhances neural growth and connections in the peripheral nervous systems. In this study, we assessed whether PBM could rescue cochlear synaptopathy after acoustic overexposure in rat. PBM was performed for 7 days after noise exposure. The auditory brainstem responses (ABRs) were acquired before and after noise exposure using a tone and a paired-click stimulus. Auditory response
