We report the case of a 57-year-old man with a malignant melanoma in the subunguinal region of his right thumb associated with the palpable axillary lymph nodes. Its metastasis was confirmed by fine needle aspiration biopsy cytology. Prognosis if a malignant melanoma is protean by its stage. Thus information regarding the axillary metastasis is mandatory for deciding the therapeutic plan. Fine needle aspiration biopsy cytology is a useful technique for diagnosing lymph node metastasis.

Mechanical complications of central vein catheterization for hyperalimentation typically become manifest shortly after insertion. We present a case report describing a delayed innominate vein perforation by a central venous catheter. Use of the adult internal jugular vein for central venous catheterization should be limited to situations in which a subclavian vein is unavailable. Ongoing watchfulness and a vigorous diagnostic and therapeutic approach to such complications are mandatory in the treatment of patients receiving total parenteral nutrition.

Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is considered a major public health problem worldwide, and a significant number of reports on nosocomial and occupational outbreaks have been reported. Perinatal testicular torsion is a rare emergency in a neonate that prompts immediate attention. Bilateral testicular torsion is extremely rare. We report a case of bilateral torsion that presented with unilateral scrotal swelling but significant atrophy and dark discoloration of the contralateral testis that was secondary to asynchronous prenatal torsion. OBJECTIVE: Lateral lumbar interbody fusion (LLIF) is frequently used for anterior column stabilization. Many authors have reported that intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM) of the lumbar plexus nerves is mandatory for this approach. Initial reports indicate that multislice spiral CT (MSCT) also permits the quantification of coronary calcium, while equivalency to EBT has not been definitely proven.
