There are several factors that affect the dynamics of adsorbed hydrogen atoms on a carbon surface. Using density functional calculations we show that coadsorption can be a highly influential factor. The diffusion of hydrogen adsorbed on graphene is explored in the presence of H-containing molecules. Without coadsorbates the diffusion barrier of H on graphene is 0.94 eV, while with water/ammonia it is 0.85/0.12 eV. The complexes Ln(NO(3))(3)L(3) between Ln(NO(3))(3) and (i)Bu(3)PO (=L) have been prepared for Ln = La-Lu (excluding Pm). The isolated complexes have been characterized by infrared spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and elemental analysis. The single crystal X-ray structures have been determined for representative complexes across the series Ln = Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, and Yb and show the coordination geometry around the metal to be the same with 9-coordinate lanthanide ions and bidentate nitrates. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate records of dogs exposed to zinc phosphide rodenticides and characterize the patient population, including breed, sex, age, body weight, time since exposure, development of clinical signs, clinical signs observed, treatments performed, veterinary care received, outcome, and overall prognosis.

[Image: see text] This paper examines the molecular mechanism of InP colloidal quantum dot (QD) syntheses. Unlike methods for monodisperse PbSe and CdSe we found that existing InP syntheses result in total depletion of molecular phosphorous species following nucleation, so QD growth is due exclusively to non-molecular ripening. We find that amines inhibit precursor depletion via solvation, and these findings may lead to better synthetic methodology for InP QDs.
