OBJECTIVE: Health promotion is a process that enables people to increase control over their own health. In this context, the concept of Salutogenesis stands out, focusing on health assets as health-generating factors. The university environment is a key context for identifying and enhancing these health assets. The objective of this project was to conduct a health asset diagnosis of the external campus of the University of Alcalá (Madrid, Spain) using the photovoice methodology by students, and to propose interventions to improve health at the university.

The selfie phenomenon has exploded worldwide over the past two years. Selfies have been linked to a large number of mortalities and significant morbidity worldwide. However, trauma associated with selfies including fractures, is rarely publicised. Here we present a case series of upper extremity trauma secondary to selfies across all age groups during the summer period. Four cases of distal radius and ulna trauma in all age groups were reported. This case series highlights the dangers associated with taking selfies and the trauma that can result.

The pineal gland is an endocrine gland found in all mammals. This article describes the morphology of this important gland in two species of Caviideae, namely the yellow-toothed cavy and the red-rumped agouti. Club foot is a common congenital abnormality, and a complex deformity. In the past twenty years, the deformity has been better classified by considering the different components of deformity. The Pirani scoring system is widely used--and analogous standardised photographic views can be used to document this condition and its progress. Here I describe four views that aid in deformity assessment, correlating to component deformities assessed in the Pirani score.
