Kagami-Ogata syndrome (KOS14) is a rare disease characterized by omphalocele, polyhydramnios and a bell-shaped thorax. Floating shoulder associated with multiple rib fractures with cervical dorsal spine fractures and lung injury has not been reported in the literature. Patient underwent single stage elective clavicle and scapula fracture stabilization. Good functional outcome at 6 months postoperative with near normal range of movements. Surgery allows early mobilization and better functional outcome. A CT scan of thorax and spine is highly recommended in such high velocity shoulder injuries to detect associated rib, spinal fractures and lung injury.

Shwachman-Diamond Syndrome (SDS) is a rare genetic disorder with pancreatic insufficiency, bone marrow failure, and skeletal abnormalities. Prenatal diagnosis is rare, with only one previous case. We report a novel antenatal SDS diagnosis at 22 weeks gestation. Ultrasound showed mildly straightened fetal ribs without significant shortening.
