Gastrointestinal stromal tumors are the most common mesenchymal tumors of the gastrointestinal tract. These tumors are present in almost all cases of KIT-CD117 mutations. When located outside the gastrointestinal tract, they are referred to as extra-gastrointestinal stromal tumors. We present a case of a 72-year-old female with acute abdomen. Computed tomography detected intestinal obstruction and failed to determine the causative pathology. The patient underwent urgent exploratory laparotomy, which revealed pelvic extra-gastrointestinal tumor originating from the broad ligament of the uterus.

INTRODUCTION: Adenofibroma is a rare benign Müllerian mixed tumor composed of epithelial and mesenchymal cells. This tumor may occasionally be associated with toremifene therapy which is used as an adjuvant drug for breast cancer.
CASE PRESENTATION: We describe a case of a 55-year-old woman with adenofibroma of the endometrium. This patient was receiving toremifene after surgery and neoadjuvant chemotherapy for breast cancer. BACKGROUND: Lymphorrhea is a rare condition with a paucity of reports in the gynaecologic literature. The most frequent causes are invasive procedures and surgical interventions.
CASE: A multiparous woman underwent a total abdominal hysterectomy with prophylactic bilateral salpingectomy and abdominal sacrocolpopexy for pelvic organ prolapse. During retroperitoneal dissection, clear fluid discharge was encountered. Ureteric injury was subsequently ruled out. A sample of the fluid was taken to confirm lymphatic injury. Rudimentary uterine horn pregnancy is rare and, to our knowledge, has not been previously reported in Cameroon. We herein report the case of … here were no other abnormalities. We performed an excision of the rudimentary horn with ipsilateral salpingectomy. Post-operative course was uneventful and the woman was discharged seven days later. This case emphasizes the importance of good antenatal care to avoid complications.

A retrospective analysis of the management of ectopic pregnancy was undertaken at Billinge Hospital, Wigan from June 1999 to June 2002. A total of 114 cases of ectopic pregnancy were identified. Diagnosis was usually confirmed by laparoscopy (89.4%) and 102 cases (82.4%) were managed by laparoscopic salpingectomy. A total of 7.08% of patients needed a laparotomy after the initial laparoscopy and two (1.75%) had laparotomy performed as the primary approach. Medical treatment was given to eight women (7.0%).
