Periosteal autografts were obtained from the medial aspect of the proximal portion of the tibia, and perichondrial autografts were obtained from the sternum. OBJECTIVE: Quantify and define post-surgical pain after pterygium surgery with conjunctival autografts.
MATERIAL AND METHODS: The study included 17 patients. The parameters analysed were, gender, age, pterygium TCL classification, primary characteristics or relapse, usage of isolated tissue adhesive or extra fixation with stitches. Sixteen patients (13 males and three females; average age, 27 years) with large symptomatic osteochondral defects of the femoral condyle were treated with an osteochondral autograft taken from the ipsilateral lateral patellar facet. The purpose of this retrospective clinical study was to present the results achieved by microsurgical reconstruction of peripheral nerve injuries in the 15 years between 1985 and 1999. Sixty patients underwent 63 surgical procedures. This retrospective study compares the tympanoplasty success rate when using a xenograft (Zenoderm) or an autograft (temporalis fascia). Fifty-three ears were operated on over a three-year period. BACKGROUND: Radial graft is one of the optimal treatments for reconstruction after tongue cancer, but it is not free of side effects. Hypertrichosis over the graft, causing an intraoral paratrichosis, might downgrade the quality of life and even require further interventions.
CLINICAL CASE: The case is presented of a 58 year-old man, who developed hypertrichosis after surgery for tongue carcinoma.

This article reports the utilization of exostosis as a source of autogenous bone for the treatment of osseous defects. A patient presented with an exostosis on the mandibular lingual region on the right side of the jaw. Exostosis was surgically removed using a chisel and mallet. The autograft thus obtained was used to treat a shallow osseous crater between 46 and 47. New bone formation was noticed at the grafted site 6 months after grafting. Bone formed in the grafted areas showed comparable clinical features to those of native bone.
