We present a rare case of male axillary accessory breast cancer, which is extremely rare and is indistinguishable from lymphadenopathy and other malignancies, such as lymphoma and skin-derived tumors. Clinicians should consider accessory breast cancer in the differential diagnosis even in men, particularly in those who present with superficially located tumors with adjacent accessory breast tissue.

Accessory breast tissue results from failure of the embryologic mammary ridge, also known as the milk line, to involute. Breast reduction surgery is one of the most common procedures done by plastic surgeons. Although not detrimental to the final outcome, allergic reaction can negatively impact the postoperative course. This case presentation paints the classic picture of allergic reaction after breast surgery, likely due to skin glue. The typical signs of intense pruritus and erythematous rash surrounding incisions bilaterally are present. The patient was treated with our institutional protocol with good results. Our protocol is presented and further questions posed.

To clarify the relationships between benign proliferative diseases and cancers of the breast, 44 cases treated with breast conserving surgeries were analyzed histopathologically. Intraductal hyperplasia, sclerosing adenosis and adenosis were more frequently seen in cancerous than non-cancerous breasts, with a statistically significant difference. Filarial involvement of breast is a rare entity. Here is an unusual case of an old lady with right breast lump with axillary lymphadenopathy mimicking breast carcinoma, cytologically diagnosed as filarial mastitis.
