BACKGROUND: Fibroblastic rheumatism is a unique fibro-proliferative disease affecting the skin and joints. It is characterized by distinctive clinical and histological features related to benign spindle-shaped cells proliferation. Pediatric reports are scarce in the literature.

While pleomorphic adenoma (PA) is the most common salivary neoplasm in human medicine, it appears to be rare in animals and has only recently been reported in a rhesus macaque. We gathered 6 cases of PAs affecting aged rhesus macaques and summarized their gross, histological, and immunohistochemical characteristics. BACKGROUND: Despite repair, a significant proportion of patients with coarctation of the aorta (CoA) present with late hypertension. Intercalated duct lesions (IDLs) are rare, poorly understood and not well-studied lesions that have been associated with a small number of epithelial-myoepithelial carcinomas (EMC) and basal cell adenomas. To examine the nature of IDLs and their association with salivary gland tumors, we reviewed 34 lesions in 32 patients. Desmoid-type fibromatosis rarely occurs in the oral tongue. Diagnostic imaging, including ultrasound, is useful for delineating the extent of the lesion and can aid in treatment planning. Background. The expression of terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase (TdT) in myoepithelial cells (MECs) within the breast was recently incidentally observed in our routine practice. This study aimed to elucidate the expression of TdT in MECs. Methods. TdT immunostaining was performed on 180 mammary, 89 cutaneous, and 94 salivary tissues or lesions. We describe the case of a 41-year-old woman who presented with a malignant myoepithelioma (MME) in her left maxillary sinus. Exploratory biopsy of the left maxillary sinus was performed and pathological examination demonstrated that the tumour was positive for calponin and cytokeratin 14, which are indicative of MME. Lateral rhinotomy and left total maxillectomy were undertaken and the patient received radiotherapy and chemotherapy post-surgery.
