Experimental depletion of dopaminergic striatal neurons was induced in mice with the neurotoxin MPTP. To investigate a possible effect of nerve growth factor on the damaged neurons, we injected 4 micrograms into the right cerebral ventricle of mice three days after the last administration of MPTP.
