This report describes an unusual case of ileal atresia, resulting from an omphalic ring closure anomaly and an omphalomesenteric duct (OMD) remnant. OBJECTIVE: To describe the outcomes of 130 intestinal atresias between 1982 and 2007.
METHODS: Records were analyzed for location, demographics, prenatal diagnosis, birth weight, associated anomalies, surgery, establishment of oral intake, re-interventions and mortality. Statistical analyses were performed using Fisher test and ANOVA.

We have experienced six cases of umbilical cord ulcer that resulted in life-threatening antenatal fetal haemorrhage. This article examines the effects of experimental prenatal intestinal obstruction on the growth and blood composition of chick embryos. Intestinal atresia (IA) was produced by bipolar bowel electrocoagulation in fertile eggs on the 14th day of incubation. The chicks killed on the 19th day were measured, weighed, and blood-sampled. The syndromic form of biliary atresia accounts for 10-25% and is associated with a poor prognosis due to associated anomalies. We report a case of extrahepatic biliary atresia and polysplenia syndrome with jaundice since 19th day of life and who had undergone surgical correction of malrotation in the neonatal period.
