Leiomyosarcoma of the spermatic cord is extremely rare. We report a case associated with recurrent papillary bladder tumours and benign hyperplasia of the prostate. The use of adjuvant chemotherapy is described for the first time in the management of this condition.

Small bowel leiomyosarcomas are uncommon but potentially curable tumors often diagnosed at an advanced stage. Twenty such lesions were studied, and 19 of these produced symptoms and signs. Clinical findings included abdominal pain in 17 (85%), rectal bleeding in 8 (40%), anemia in 7 (35%), intraperitoneal perforation in 6 (30%), and abdominal mass in 4 (20%). Five cases of leiomyosarcoma of blood vessels--three venous, two arterial--are reported. Treatment was surgical alone in two patients with involvement of the internal mammary artery and the long saphenous vein. The other three were treated initially by surgery, followed by radiation therapy, and surgery aimed at either total or partial removal of metastases. Two patients are alive and well, free of disease. Two patients have died of their disease despite all modalities of treatment, and one patient has a life-threatening metastases and is not expected to survive.

A case report of leiomyosarcoma of the transverse colon was presented in view of its rarity of the occurrence. An extra-colonic, mobile abdominal mass showing a rapid growth with mild tenderness was the principal preoperative findings in the patient. The occurrence of malignant tumors in smooth muscles of the colon, not including the rectum, is extremely rare. In review of the references, about thirty cases have been previously reported.

ANATOMO-CLINICAL OBSERVATION: A 50-year-old woman with a history of cervical irradiation for Hodgkin's lymphoma presented with a right parotid tumefaction. The article presents a rare clinical observation of a vaginal tumor detected during pregnancy, which prevented delivery through the natural birth canal and caused a cesarean section at full term. According to the primary biopsy at 34 weeks, neurofibroma was diagnosed. In the postpartum period, due to profuse bloody discharge, the patient was admitted to the Moscow Regional Research Institute of Obstetrics and Gynecology for surgical treatment, where, according to the results of a morphological study of the removed tumor, vaginal leiomyosarcoma was diagnosed.

Cutaneous leiomyosarcoma (CLM) is a very rare smooth muscle tumor arising from the dermis or subcutaneous tissue in the skin. Superficial leiomyosarcoma originates in the superficial dermis or subcutaneous tissue and represents about 3% of the soft tissue sarcomas.
