OBJECTIVE: To investigate the prevalence of postpartum thyroiditis (PPT) in three different iodine intake areas, to explore the relationship between iodine intake and PPT.

It is not known whether epitopes recognized by autoantibodies in an individual remain constant or change over time, especially during perturbations of the humoral immune response.
