BACKGROUND: In palliative surgery on the distal radio-ulnar joint (DRUJ), ulnar head resection and the Sauvé-Kapandji procedure are often followed by instability and radio-ulnar convergence. INTRODUCTION: In 2018, we reported a case series of 47 patients diagnosed with cancer following several years of exposure to high-intensity whole-body radiofrequency radiation (RFR) using the parameter of percentage frequency (PF). Consistent high and statistically significant PFs of hematolymphoid (HL) cancers were found in this group and in four previous reports on RFR-exposed groups in Belgium, Poland and Israel together with increased all-cancers rates. The authors report a case of Barrett's oesophagus in a child. This observation is characterized by the extent of the lesion which is of three types of metaplasic epithelium usually seen in this disease (fundic, cardial and intestinal tissue); the difficulties in differential diagnosis from uncomplicated hiatal hernia justify radiological and endoscopical examinations with multiple biopsies. The discussion centers on the risk of malignant transformation with its therapeutical consequences and the long term follow-up of such patients.

Seventy-eight patients with cerebrovascular accidents (CVA) underwent radio-electrocardiographic evaluation (RECG) and blood pressure measurements, together with clinical observation during physical therapy and rehabilitation. Twenty-six out of 78 CVA patients had pathological RECG. Of the total, 20 (25.6%) patients had a history of ischemic heart disease prior to CVA, 11 of them manifested abnormalities on the radio-electrocardiography, suggesting myocardial ischemia, arrhythmia, or severe heart rate changes. A study of 152 cases of carcinoma of the nasopharynx was carried out for evaluation of various features of the tumors. Survival is greatest in middle aged patients and poorest in patients under 20 years of age. Patients who presented with lymph node involvement had a better survival rate than those without, and those with undifferentiated tumors survived longer, although tumors in this group metastasized earlier.
