Idiopathic myelofibrosis (IMF) is a breakpoint cluster region rearrangement-negative chronic myeloproliferative disease with progressive bone marrow fibrosis. We report a female patient (65 years old) who was admitted to our hospital in 1996. Trephine bone marrow biopsy revealed diffuse fibrosis with atypical multilobulated megakaryocytes. BACKGROUND: Duodenal injuries are relatively rare but remain a management challenge with a high incidence of postoperative complications. Guidelines from the World Society of Emergency Surgery and American Association for the Surgery of Trauma favour a primary repair for less-complex injuries, but the management of more complex duodenal trauma remains controversial with varying techniques supported, including pyloric exclusion, omental or jejunal patch closure, gastrojejunostomy and pancreatoduodenectomy. IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) is a recently described entity characterized by lymphoplasmacytic infiltrates, usually mimicking tumors, affecting almost every organ or system. Nevertheless, serosal involvement has been rarely reported. In this article, we report two cases of IgG4-RD with serosal involvement and review the literature. Because of the varied clinical pictures found in our review, we suggest a new terminology for the description of IgG4-RD with serosal involvement.

A case of persistently elevated serum hCG after linear salpingostomy for ectopic pregnancy was noteworthy because laparoscopy 45 days after an initial laparotomy revealed a trophoblastic implant on the uterine fundal serosa. Cautery of the implant led to a rapid decline of serum hCG levels. This is the first report of a pelvic trophoblastic implant following a linear salpingostomy for tubal pregnancy performed at laparotomy.

Serious clinical sequelae of lupus serositis are uncommon and rarely a cause of morbidity. We describe two patients, one with chronic adhesive pericarditis and one with extensive small-bowel adhesions due to lupus peritonitis. Accurate prediction of peritoneal metastasis for gastric cancer (GC) with serosal invasion is crucial in clinic. OBJECTIVE: This multi-center study aims to determine the efficiency and safety of endometrial myomectomy (EM) for the removal of uterine fibroids during cesarean section (CS).
METHODS: Retrospective review of 360 women diagnosed for fibroids during pregnancy. They all delivered by CS between 2014 and 2019. The study groups included 118 women who only underwent EM, 120 women who only had subserosal myomectomy by traditional technique and 122 women with fibroids who decided to avoid cesarean myomectomy, as control group.
