A dachshund suffered from vomitus, anorexia, apathy, and anemia. A metal button consisting of brass (alloy of copper and zinc) was diagnosed in the stomach and was removed. Blood analysis revealed an elevated level of zinc (10.7 micrograms/ml) associated with a low copper concentration (0.02 microgram/ml). Zinc absorption was examined in 25 nonalcoholic cirrhotic patients using the oral zinc tolerance test and comparing results to a healthy control group. Five-day metabolic balance studies for zinc and copper were carried out in 20 housebound elderly people with stable chronic diseases. Subjects were age 70.0-85.1 y, lived in their own homes, and ate self-selected diets. Toxoplasma gondii causes a global parasitic disease. Therapeutic options for eradicating toxoplasmosis are limited. In this study, ZnO and Mg-doped ZnO NPs were prepared, and their structural and morphological chrematistics were investigated.
