The identification of antiplasmodial lead compounds from the aerial parts of Vernonia glabra (Asteraceae) was carried out using a bioassay-directed protocol. The methanolic extract of the plant was partitioned into four main fractions using n-hexane, dichloromethane, ethyl acetate, and n-butanol.
