PURPOSE: Biopsy plays a crucial role in definitive diagnosis of lesions and consequently, appropriate treatment of them. Clinicians should correctly do the biopsy in accordance to the existing principles and guidelines to prevent adverse effects on the pathologist's diagnosis. This study aimed to determine the frequency and reasons for not providing definitive histopathological diagnosis of the biopsy samples belong to the laboratory of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, Faculty of Dentistry, Hamadan University of Medical Sciences.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the feasibility of detecting API2-MALT1 fusion gene transcript in paraffin-embedded tissue and its diagnostic value for pulmonary MALT lymphoma.
METHODS: Ten archival cases of pulmonary MALT lymphoma were selected and reviewed. Five archival cases of chronic lymphadenitis were used as negative control. OBJECTIVE: To determine the relationship between human papillomavirus (HPV) DNA detection in upper aerodigestive tract malignancies and patient outcome.
DESIGN: Archival paraffin-embedded specimens from 78 previously untreated patients with squamous carcinomas of the larynx and hypopharynx were pathologically verified and analyzed by polymerase chain reaction for detection of HPV DNA. INTRODUCTION: Compilation-oral history documentaries operate at the intersection of ideological struggle and educational praxis, yet their dual function as counter-hegemonic texts and pedagogical tools remains under-theorized. This article examines the emergence of hand replantation surgery in socialist China to rethink the relationship between industrialization, medicine, and Cold War technopolitics. Developed in response to rising workplace amputations during the Great Leap Forward, hand replantation became more than a surgical technique confined to the operating room.
