BACKGROUND: Lichen planus pigmentosus (LPP) is a cosmetically distressing pigmentary disorder often posing a therapeutic challenge. Isotretinoin has been shown to be effective in oral and cutaneous LP, but its role in LPP is yet unknown.
OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of isotretinoin in the management of LPP.
METHODS: In this prospective study, 32 clinically and histologically proven patients with LPP were recruited. Subjects were treated with fixed low-dose (20 mg/day) oral isotretinoin once daily for 6 months along with topical sunscreens. Response was graded as mild (<25%)

INTRODUCTION: Although the induction of vection (perception of illusory self-motion) has been studied for some decades, the effect of ground surface properties on vection remains to be assessed quantitatively. This study will be helpful for designing helicopter or airplane flight simulation, because pilots often perceive optic flow on the ground surface and perceive self-motion from such flows.
METHOD: Vection stimuli of variable position, size, and optic flow speed were presented in a trapezoidal area on a ground surface. Body sway was also measured.

This report presents two cases of extensive chemical burn injuries following acute exposure. The first involved a 24-year-old previously healthy female who sustained deep dermal and full-thickness burns over 44% of total body surface area, including the face, neck, chest, and upper limbs.
