PURPOSE: To report on a patient in whom hyperopic Implantable Collamer Lenses (ICL, STAAR Surgical, Nidau, Switzerland) and limbal relaxing incisions have been beneficial for the correction of hyperopic astigmatism after laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK).
METHODS: The 48-year-old man had undergone LASIK to correct high myopia 5 years earlier. Preoperatively, the manifest refraction was +2.25, -1.00 x 160, with an uncorrected visual acuity of 0.15 and a best spectacle-corrected visual acuity of 1.5.

PURPOSE: To report a new surgical technique for excising pediatric corneal limbal dermoid and the post-resection ocular surface reconstruction.
METHODS: We describe a method of deep lamellar excision followed by sutureless multilayered amniotic membrane transplantation in surgical management of corneal limbal dermoid.

PURPOSE: To describe a group of patients with limbal stem cell (SC) deficiency without prior diagnosis of a specific disease entity known to be causative of SC deficiency.
METHODS: We performed a retrospective review of the records of all patients with ocular surface disease presenting to the University of Minnesota between 1987 and 1996. Patients were categorized according to etiology of limbal deficiency. Patients who did not have a specific diagnosis previously described as being causative for limbal deficiency were analyzed.
