A cemental tear is a special kind of root fracture that may cause rapid and localized periodontal destruction. Most cemental tears have been reported on bicuspids and incisors. A 13 year-old girl presented with secondary amenorrhea, vaginal bleeding and dyspnea. Hyperthyroidism was diagnosed based on clinical symptoms and thyroid function test. Ultrasonographic findings and tissue histology from curettage were consistent with a hydatidiform mole. She reached clinical euthyroidism 2 weeks after uterine curettage and propylthiouracil treatment. The diagnosis of putative adult diseases in pediatric patients should not be ruled out.

Two cases of inverted and impacted third molars are described. They were conservatively managed without surgery. Complications that may arise from surgical removal of inverted and impacted teeth must be carefully considered beforehand. These should be weighed against the benefit of surgical removal. The two cases are reported because impaction with inversion of a molar tooth is not common.

This case report presented a rare case of irreversible ectopic eruption of right mandibular first permanent molar in a 6-year-old boy. Distal root resorption of primary second molar was found during routine radiographic examination. Early treatment of ectopically erupting permanent first molar was considered in favor of preventing space loss. Using a modified Humphrey appliance as the correcting appliance, the ectopic eruption of permanent first molar had been successfully uprighted and retained.
