SETTING: Private assisted reproductive technology clinic.
PATIENT(S): Supernumerary blastocysts after fresh blastocyst transfer were vitrified for subsequent transfer.
INTERVENTION(S): Culture of pronuclear embryos to the blastocyst stage in sequential media and subsequent vitrification of supernumerary blastocysts using a cryoloop technique.
MAIN OUTCOME MEASURE(S): Clinical outcome after transfer of vitrified blastocysts.

In this paper 385 cases treated with cyanoacrylate tissue adhesive during the years 1980-1995 are studied. The indications, outcomes and complications of cyanoacrylate adhesive are investigated and the results are analysed. It is encouraging that except for three cases of ocular hypotony and two cases of microbial infection no other complications occurred. Haemophilus ducreyi, the causal organism of chancroid, has increased in significance recently due to its association with HIV transmission. Of the 1,198 women and men studied in Mainz from 1966 to 1987 there was an approximately fivefold increase in the incidence of melanoma. STATEMENT OF PROBLEM: Occlusal devices used to manage bruxism have been commonly fabricated from polymethyl methacrylate with the powder-liquid technique. More recently, Vertex ThermoSens (VTS) and the biocompatible high-performance polymer (BioHPP), an optimized material having polyetheretherketone (PEEK) as its basis, have been used, but little is known about the wear of these materials on human enamel.

METHODS: We report our experience of 5 patients treated with corneal wedge excisions for high astigmatism after PK.
