Penetrating transorbital injury with skull base involvement is a rare occurrence from a crayon. We report a case of a 2-year-old male who sustained a penetrating crayon injury through the right orbit and lamina papyracea into the posterior ethmoid sinus complicated by cerebrospinal fluid leak. There have been no other reported cases of this type of injury by a crayon.

We report a case of intraconal grease gun injury along with traumatic optic neuropathy in a 20-year-old male. He presented with dimness of vision and proptosis of the left eye (LE) following an accidental injury at work place. The computer tomography of orbit revealed hypodense grease orbit. Cream colored grease was continually exuding from the conjunctival wound. Patient improved rapidly after the surgical removal of the grease by anterior orbitotomy. An 11-year-old boy presented with a lesion of the right orbit that was thought to be a hemophilic pseudotumor. Excisional biopsy revealed an unexpected diagnosis of mesenchymal chondrosarcoma. Both mesenchymal chondrosarcoma and hemophilic pseudotumor of the orbit are exceedingly rare. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first reported case of orbital mesenchymal chondrosarcoma masquerading as hemophilic pseudotumor.

Primary neuroendocrine tumors of the orbit are exceedingly rare and typically present with gradual, progressive exophthalmos. In this report, an otherwise healthy 64-year-old woman undergoes resection of a well-differentiated neuroendocrine tumor after presenting with acute proptosis. An extensive clinical and radiographic evaluation reveals no other evidence of disease, establishing the diagnosis of a primary neuroendocrine tumor. The case presentation is followed by a brief review of the classification, presentation, and evaluation of orbital neuroendocrine tumors.

While pyoderma gangrenosum (PG) most commonly affects the skin it can also involve other organs. It rarely affects the eye, orbit, or adnexa. Its early recognition and proper management with prompt initiation of immunosuppressive therapy are essential for the preservation of the eye and, in turn, vision, in these cases. Here, we review the limited literature already published regarding ocular involvement in PG.

Over a year, a 51-year-old man developed a mass in the anteromedial orbit in the region of the lacrimal sac that caused epiphora. Imaging studies disclosed no bone destruction. On biopsy, a sclerotic lesion was discovered populated by hyperchromatic cells that had been apparently distorted by crush artifact, indicative of fragile cells. INTRODUCTION: We report on a case of isolated metastatic breast cancer to the medial rectus muscle. This entity is exceedingly rare.
CASE: A 44-year-old female with a history of breast cancer presented with unilateral maxillary symptoms and was treated for sinusitis. Over time, she developed ocular pain, diplopia, blurred vision and eventually complete adduction deficit.
