Pyridine-2-yl-sulfonyl-quinolin-8-yl-amide (psq) has produced the first sulfonamidato-bridged dicopper(I) complex, {Cu[κ4-(μ-κN:κN-psq)]}2 containing the rhombic Cu(I)2N2 core. The effects of kainate (KA) on the recovery of neuronal function in rat hippocampal slices after hypoxia or glucose deprivation (GD) were investigated and compared to those of (R,S)-alpha-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4- isoxazoleproprionate (AMPA).
