OBJECTIVE: To investigate the clinical and pathological characteristics of angiosarcoma of the head and face.
METHODS: The data of 15 patients with angiosarcoma of the head and face underwent treatment between January 1993 and January 2003 were reviewed. Of 15 cases 10 were men and 5 women; 11 tumors in scalp and 4 in face; 6 cases of stage I, 3 cases of stage II, 1 case of stage III and 5 cases of stage IV. BACKGROUND: Plasma cell leukemia (PCL) is a rare aggressive variant of multiple myeloma (MM) characterized by a fulminant course and poor prognosis. Flow cytometry (FCM) is very useful in the diagnosis of the plasma cell leukemia. Herein, we present 10 cases of PCL.

PURPOSE: To characterize and describe the histopathologic findings in equine globes enucleated due to glaucoma.
METHODS: Medical records at The Ohio State University from 1999 to 2012 were reviewed retrospectively. Signalment, history, and treatment data were collected, and histologic slides of enucleated globes were examined and lesions recorded. Spontaneous pneumothorax (SP) affects only a subset of patients in a variety of disorders. This multi-institutional study attempted to identify unique clinicopathologic features of spontaneous pneumothorax (SP) in a large cohort. OBJECTIVES: We examined health outcomes among 34,494 workers employed at a microelectronics and business machine facility 1969-2001.
METHODS: Standardized mortality ratio (SMR) and standardized incidence ratios were used to evaluate health outcomes in the cohort and Cox regression modeling to evaluate relations between scores for occupational exposures and outcomes of a priori interest.

INTRODUCTION: The aim of this study was to compare the results of classic laparoscopic, three-port and SILS cholecystectomy.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: We conducted a retrospective study of data collected between January 2010 and December 2012 pertaining to 159 selected patients with symptomatic gallstones. 57 underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy, 51 three-port cholecystectomy and 48 SILS cholecystectomy.
