The aim of this review was to summarize the available literature on transvaginal anterior colporrhaphy (AC) in the management of anterior vaginal wall prolapse. A medline search from 1978 to 2008 was performed. The aim of this review was to critically examine published studies concerning the psychosexual aspects of provoked vestibulodynia. In this study, brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) heterozygous knock-outs were tested on fear conditioning, and their wild-type littermates were used as controls. Results showed that BDNF(+/-) mice are impaired in contextual learning, whereas tone learning remains intact.
