BACKGROUND: Vulvar and in particular clitoral pain can affect women with Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting (FGM/C). To date, there is no comprehensive study on the different available treatments for vulvar pain after FGM/C.
AIM: To study the outcome of surgical treatments of vulvar and/or clitoral pain among women living with FGM/C.
METHODS: Retrospective review of the consecutive medical files of all 506 women who consulted at a specialized outpatient clinic for women with FGM/C between April 1, 2010 and December 31, 2017.

STUDY OBJECTIVE: Labia minora reduction is the most common operation requested by women concerned with the appearance of their vulvar area. In most cases, a concomitant clitoral hoodoplasty (CP) should be performed to achieve better esthetic outcomes. There are different surgical methods for removing excess tissue in the clitoral hood area. This study aims to describe the surgical technique of inverted-Y plasty as with central longitudinal excision in CP and to elaborate on different hoodoplasty techniques in the literature.
DESIGN: Case series.

STUDY DESIGN: Systematic review of the literature to identify studies on clitoral reconstruction after previous FGM/C with at least 6 months of follow-up. Mouse penile development is androgen-dependent. During development of male and female external genitalia, an internal ectodermal epithelial structure forms called the preputial lamina. At puberty the male preputial lamina canalizes to create the preputial space, effectively splitting into two layers: (a) the epithelial lining of the prepuce and (b) the surface epithelium of the penis. This study describes a distinct groove on the caudal and ventral surfaces of the pubic bone termed the "sulcus nervi dorsalis penis/clitoridis" and assesses its usefulness as a character for sex determination of isolated pubic bones. It has been estimated that up to 76% of women, depending upon their age, have complaints of sexual dysfunction, including decreased libido, vaginal dryness, pain with intercourse, decreased genital sensation and difficulty or inability to achieve orgasm. Female sexual dysfunction is a significant problem that affects the quality of life of many women. This review addresses the etiologies and incidence of female sexual complaints, as well as new findings in the evaluation and treatment of female sexual dysfunction.

Transmission of Demodex flagellurus Bukva, 1985 inhabiting the preputial and clitoral glands of the house mouse, Mus musculus L., was studied in mating experiments using pairs of infested, feral X mite-free, white laboratory mice.
