BACKGROUND: The purpose of this retrospective analysis is to analyze clinical outcome, visual acuity and enucleation rates after linear accelerator-based stereotactic fractionated photon radiotherapy for primary uveal melanoma.
METHODS: Twenty-four patients with primary uveal melanoma treated at the Department of Radiation and Oncology of the University Hospital Heidelberg between 1991 and 2015 were analyzed regarding survival and treatment-related toxicity including eye- and sight-preservation.

Iris and ciliary body melanoma is an aggressive tumor, which, unfortunately, presents symptoms only in advanced stages and is often discovered accidentally during a routine eye examination. There are several treatment options, ranging from in time monitorization in order to observe the tumor's evolution to more aggressive methods such as radiotherapy and enucleation. We present a case of iridociliary melanoma, who underwent conservative surgery, iridocyclectomy under scleral flap, with good results, and maintenance of the function and integrity of the eyeball.

Two cases of brain tumors which developed after radiotherapy against retinoblastomas are reported. PURPOSE: To report a case of pleomorphic adenoma of the lacrimal gland following irradiation for bilateral retinoblastoma.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: Case report. A 4-month-old girl, with bilateral retinoblastoma, underwent enucleation of the right eye, systemic chemotherapy and bilateral external beam irradiation with a lateral field. CASE REPORT: We present a case of congenital choroidal mass in a male infant with multiple cutaneous pigmented lesions. Enucleation performed in the first weeks of life confirmed the diagnosis of diffuse uveal malignant melanoma with extraocular extension. The patient was also treated with 5 cycles of chemotherapy. He subsequently developed cutaneous and ocular pigmented lesions, including 2 choroidal nevi located within the posterior pole and a benign conjunctival lesion in the opposite eye, in addition to malignant melanoma of the skin.

The authors present their experiences with the microsurgical method of therapy of choroidal malignant melanoma. During the last two years 10 patients have been admitted to the hospital that had malignant melanoma of uvea, eight of them had choroidal melanoma. In 5 patients local excision of choroidal melanoma was made, according to Peyman's criteria. OBJECTIVE: To analyze the clinicopathologic characteristics of retinoblastoma spontaneous regression.
METHODS: Retrospective case series study. The clinic and pathologic data of 52 cases of retinoblastoma spontaneous regression were analyzed retrospectively. All the cases came from 579 cases of retinoblastoma (without pre-enucleation chemotherapy) archived in Ophthalmic Pathology Laboratory of Beijing Tongren Eye Centre from Jan. 2007 to Dec. 2013.
