Surgical Safety Checklist Implementation in a Tunisian University Hospital: A Mixed-Methods Study of Compliance and Nurses' Perspectives on Barriers, Facilitators, and Sustainability.

BACKGROUND: The surgical safety checklist (SSC) is a valuable tool for promoting patient safety, but its implementation is complex and understudied, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. Perioperative nurses are critical to the SSC's successful implementation, but their experiences and the obstacles they encounter are underexplored under specific organizational systems. OBJECTIVE: This study assessed SSC compliance and completion and investigated perioperative nurses' perspectives and experiences using it in a Tunisian university hospital. METHODS: A sequential mixed-methods stud

Central Pattern Generators in Spinal Cord Injury: Mechanisms, Modulation, and Therapeutic Strategies for Motor Recovery.

BACKGROUND: Spinal cord injury (SCI) compromises the communication between the brain and spinal circuits involved in locomotion, resulting in severe motor dysfunction. However, currently available therapies have limited effectiveness in restoring motor function after SCI. OBJECTIVE: Recent research has highlighted the importance of the central pattern generator (CPG), a spinal circuitry responsible for generating coordinated patterns of leg motor activity in the absence of brain-derived inputs, in locomotor recovery. Therefore, a highly promising approach for restorative treatment after SCI i

Object Stitching by Clustering of Adjacent Regions for accurate quantification of three-dimensional tissues.

The study of tissue organization and morphogenesis requires quantitative analysis of 3D biological samples, a challenging task owing to limitations in imaging dense organs at single-cell resolution. Current 3D segmentation and quantification tools often struggle with the low resolution and signal-to-noise ratios typical of images taken in vivo or deep within tissues. To address this, we developed Object Stitching by Clustering of Adjacent Regions (OSCAR), a framework that combines machine learning with non-linear fitting and statistical algorithms specifically designed to quantify biological 3

Recommendations to Enable Broader Use of Real-World Evidence to Inform Decision-Making Throughout Pharmacovigilance Signal Management.

INTRODUCTION: Despite substantial investments in analytical infrastructure and scientific research related to the development and analysis of real-world evidence in support of signal management, the impact on routine pharmacovigilance activities has been limited. Most organizations still rely largely on analyses of individual case reports and pre-existing evidence - especially during signal detection and validation. OBJECTIVE: This paper presents a set of recommendations for efforts to enable broader use of real-world evidence throughout pharmacovigilance signal management, in the future. OU

[Individual-based study of morbidity with temporary loss of work capacity in 1 plant over a 3-year period].

The study of morbidity rate with temporary disability according to subjects, based on the Soviet experience has an approximately thirty year history in our country. Even though, numerous scientific, methodical and organizational problems with a view to the application of the method-according-to-subjects are still unsolved. The object of our study is a plant of the Union of the Blind in Bulgaria, producing cork stoppers, electrical materials and haircloth. The information derived from the patients' chart by an individual index-card, allowed a more detailed and more comprehensive analysis of the

Co-designing and implementing an inclusive wellness room to promote mental health in a Canadian university: a mixed-methods study.

Objective: Universities face psychological distress, while mental health services remain inaccessible to marginalised populations. This highlights the need for low-threshold mental health interventions beyond clinical care. Wellness rooms offer spaces for stress reduction, yet few have been developed through participatory approaches or evaluated systematically. This study documents the co-design and restricted implementation of an inclusive, multisensory wellness room in a Canadian university. Participants: University students and staff participated in the co-design and implementation process.
