A simple and reliable ultrasound-assisted solid-phase dispersion extraction coupled with ion chromatography was developed for the determination of aminophenols and phenol. The highly viscous hair colorant was dispersed in solvents using anhydrous sodium sulfite having dual functions of dispersant and antioxidant. In this study, phenol formaldehyde-montmorillonite (PF-MMT) was prepared and used for lead ion (Pb2+) adsorption. Batch adsorption experiments were conducted to determine the optimal conditions.
