INTRODUCTION AND HYPOTHESIS: Unified staging systems for pelvic organ prolapse (POP) have been established. We examined the application of the POP quantification (POP-Q) system in China by examining its use in scientific journal articles.

BACKGROUND: Optimal surgical treatment of infants with esophageal atresia (EA) and tracheoesophageal fistula (TEF) remains controversial. In order to better understand variability in management, we surveyed the International Pediatric Endosurgery Group (IPEG) membership.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: Currently, no information is available about the number of Chlamydia trachomatis (CT) tests performed, testing facilities available or diagnostic methods used in Germany. This study aimed to map CT diagnostic facilities so that representative laboratories can be recruited for CT sentinel surveillance.

INTRODUCTION: Anticoagulant treatment might be used to prevent DVT and its complications in patients with leg immobilisation.
METHODS: In April 2007, a questionnaire was sent to all 79 Dutch surgical and orthopaedic teaching hospitals and was used to obtain information in relation to use of thromboprophylaxis for patients with immobilisation for below-knee leg injuries in their department.

Data from our international contact lens prescribing survey were mined to assess recent trends in toric soft contact lens fitting. PURPOSE: Controversy exists in ureterocele management and the literature lacks clear management guidelines. We surveyed pediatric urologists to understand practice patterns and perceptions of managing duplicated system intravesical ureterocele.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: The survey consisted of 3 case scenarios, including upper pole obstruction without reflux, ureterocele without hydronephrosis and reflux after incision.
