In this article, we present a 48-year-old female case who had an unsuccessful previous forte ceramic-on-ceramic total hip arthroplasty for early coxarthrosis secondary to acetabular dysplasia. She had fracture and protrusion of the ceramic liner through the titanium acetabular shell without any apparent trauma, possibly resulting from the mistake during the implantation of the ceramic liner into the metal shell in the initial operation. We report our result of the reinforced sternal closure in 51 consecutive patients. We applied a new type of absorbable radiopaque pins (Super FIXSORB) composed of poly-lactide acid and hydroxyapatite, in addition to conventional stainless steel wires. A 0.1M solution of Aliquat 336S in xylene quantitatively extracts microgram quantities of niobium(V) from 0.01M ascorbic acid at pH 3.5-6.5. Normal structures of the tongue and floor of the mouth were studied using anatomic sections cut with a stainless steel band saw. In this follow-up study a light-cured glass ionomer lining cement was evaluated as a cavity-sealing material in calcium hydroxide pulpotomies in primary molars after one and two years. The pulpotomy dressing was a suspension of pure calcium hydroxide with either tap water or sterile saline. The success rate of the pulpotomies after one year was 87.7 percent and after two years 80.4 percent (clinically and radiographically). Existing internal fixation systems for the injured or deformed spine present problems with overdistraction and control of the contoured rod necessary for transverse forces.
