OBJECTIVE: We evaluated the association between the Fas-670A/G and the Fas ligand FasL IVS2nt 124 A/G polymorphisms and the risk of pre-eclampsia and its complications.

We aimed to determine the second-trimester amniotic fluid (AF) levels of soluble Fas (sFas) and Fas-ligand (FasL) and investigate their association with fetal growth. Two novel peptides named neopladine 1 and neopladine 2 were purified from Tityus discrepans scorpion venom and found to be active on human breast carcinoma SKBR3 cells.
