Intravesical catheter knotting during micturating cystourethrography is a rare but recognized complication of the procedure. We were able to untangle a knot utilizing a fluoroscopically guided vascular guidewire. Following this success, a small study was performed using a model. Various types of guidewires and techniques were tested for different diameters of knots in order to predict the likelihood of success in this type of situation.

We report a patient who received a CPI Ventak AV II DR ICD for ventricular tachycardia and complete heart block without an escape rhythm. During induced nonsustained ventricular tachycardia, the device, although programmed to deliver noncommitted shocks, acted like a committed device. This phenomenon is due to undocumented behavior that is likely to occur in any patient who is pacemaker dependent and has nonsustained ventricular tachycardia.

Pacemaker implantation was performed in 26 children aged from 5 months to 15 years (mean 4.6). The indications for pacemaker implantation were: sick sinus syndrome in 4 patients, III degrees idiopathic A-V block in 2 both with congenital heart disease and III degrees post-op. Initial clinical trials using a new overhead piezoelectric extracorporeal lithotripter is presented. The advantages of this machine are the installation of an anti-misshot control device (AMCD) to prevent misshots to renal tissue, simplicity for ultrasound stone localization by the overhead type applicator, and elimination of necessity for anesthesia. The wheelchair is now commonly used as a place for lengthy sitting. The construction of the collapsible wheelchair provides a hard unyielding seat, with no support for the patient's head and shoulders. Thus, the radial nerve is dangerously exposed to damage, and the development of gluteal pressure ulcers is encouraged. Case reports are presented, and proposals are made for improvements in wheelchair design.

INTRODUCTION/BACKGROUND: Small amounts of malrotation can significantly decrease the diagnostic utility of a wrist radiograph. Poorly positioned wrist radiographs can result in repeat scans, additional imaging, and missed injuries. Tolerance for mistakes must be low.
