Intestinal involvement of endometriosis requiring treatment is 5%, but only 0.7% needs intestinal resection. The authors report two cases of colic endometriosis and illustrate problems in diagnosis and management of this disease. The efficacy of two new tiny snares has been evaluated for removal of diminutive (7 mm or less) colorectal polyps. The small size of the snares facilitates direct placement over a polyp, after which resection can be performed using monopolar current. One hundred and three patients with carcinoma in situ in the rectum, rectosigmoid and sigmoid colon were evaluated retrospeactively. The majority of the lesions occurred within an adenomatous polyp.
