Erdheim-Chester disease (ECD) is a rare non-Langerhans histiocytosis that is classified as a malignancy of myeloid progenitor cells, with only 1,000 confirmed cases in the literature so far. Squamous cell carcinoma of the penis is a rare cancer associated with smoking, genital warts, lack of neonatal circumcision, and human papillomavirus types 16 and 18. Metastasis of this condition is even rarer, occurring primarily in the lungs or liver. The current report describes a case of penile squamous cell carcinoma in an uncircumcised 63-year-old man who smoked cigarettes and who had genital warts and human papillomavirus type 45. Metastasis occurred in the abdominal cavity.

A report is given on a 59-year-old female with retroperitoneal malignant histiocytosis and duodeno-retroperitoneal fistula. This had caused extensive autodigestion of the tumour and secondary inflammatory necrosis of the lumbar vertebral bodies. The uncommon finding and its rarity are discussed.

During the last 54 years at the Children's Hospital 11 children (10 female, 1 male) had been treated for an extragonadal germ cell tumor arising in the retroperitoneum. Paragangliomas are tumors that originate from extra-adrenal medullary neural crest derivatives. They are rarely located in retroperitoneal space. BACKGROUND: Ganglioneuroma (GN) of the adult is a rare benign tumour originating from neural crest-derived cells. In most cases, GN is found in the mediastinum or retroperitoneum incidentally and may present with unspecific symptoms caused by space-occupying effects. The correct diagnosis of a retroperitoneal mass is still a challenge. Nevertheless, a preoperatively confirmed diagnosis of GN may support the concept of a less radical approach and may help to prevent unnecessary morbidity or loss of function.

Efficacious management of migratory collections of pancreatic origin requires precise topographic diagnosis. Such collections can be multiple, atypical and ubiquitous, extending from the mediastinum down to the pelvis, within peritoneal recesses and retroperitoneal spaces, and even within viscera such as the liver, spleen or kidney. Objective: The objective of this study was to compare the efficacy and safety of open adrenalectomy (OA) and laparoscopic adrenalectomy (LA) by summarizing the clinical features and treatment experience of giant adrenal tumors. Methods: The clinical data of 44 patients with adrenal tumors ≥10 cm admitted to the Second Hospital of Lanzhou University from January 2006 to August 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. In Denmark, the incidence of pheochromocytoma is 6.6 per million person-years. This case report describes a 33-year-old woman with a life-threatening adrenal bleeding. For some years prior to the incident she had suffered from hypertension, headache, palpitations, rapid increase of weight, oligomenorrhoea and hirsutism. The treatment was acute arterial embolisation. Subsequently, due to a persistently elevated level of methoxynoradrenaline she was diagnosed with pheochromocytoma. She was endocrinologically optimised, and the adrenal gland was removed laparoscopically.
