IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) mimics various inflammatory, infectious, or neoplastic conditions. Diagnosis requires integration of clinical, laboratory, imaging, and histopathological findings. Early glucocorticoid therapy can reduce organ involvement and improve patient outcomes.

A 31-year-old woman presented with a prominent, yellowish conjunctival mass in the left temporal canthus that had persisted for 3 months despite previous puncture. Repeat incision and curettage produced an 8 mm long concretion. A histopathological examination revealed a dacryolith in the lacrimal duct. This pathology is very rare in this location but has to be considered as a differential diagnosis when patients present with prominence and discomfort in the area of the temporal canthus. The treatment of choice is resection of the dacryolith and irrigation of the lacrimal ducts with penicillin.

PURPOSE: To assess the effectiveness of the Crawford tube for the treatment of chronic suppurative lacrimal canaliculitis.
METHODS: A prospective study was performed on 8 consecutive patients who accepted the Crawford tube to treat chronic suppurative lacrimal canaliculitis. Postoperatively, the patients were treated with 0.5% levofloxacin eyedrops 4 times per day and oral levofloxacin tablets 0.5 g once per day for 4 days. Follow-up times were >3 months after removing the Crawford tube. The condition of the lacrimal punctum and patient's symptoms were carefully evaluated.

We report a case of unsuspected penetrating trauma with intraorbital foreign body, namely a needlefish jaw. A 44-year-old fisherman presented with vertical diplopia and discrete swelling of the upper lid near the medial canthus after being hit by a fish. He was unaware of any penetrating lesion or foreign body. There was no entry wound. CT-scan showed a foreign body between the globe and the medial orbital wall. Congenital nasolacrimal duct obstruction (CLDO) is considered as common and onerous disorder present at infancy. Over 5% of infants have CLDO affecting one or both eyes. A 5-year-old girl with a remote history of idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura presented with a history of partial nasolacrimal duct obstruction unresolved with standard treatments of probing, irrigation, and lacrimal system intubation. Acquired lacrimal fistula occurs in an improperly and inadequately treated lacrimal sac abscess. This study was done to evaluate the success of endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy (EDCR) in treating such lacrimal fistula. A retrospective analysis of nine cases of acquired lacrimal fistulae in seven patients, treated by EDCR without any external surgery was carried out. Cessation of epiphora and closure of fistula were considered, successful outcomes. All the nine fistulae closed, and all patients were relieved of their epiphora within two weeks of surgery.
