OBJECTIVE: To evaluate provider adherence to aspirin prophylaxis prescription guidelines for patients at risk.
STUDY DESIGN: A retrospective chart review was performed at Henry Ford Health (HFH) between October 2015 and December 2020. In October 2015, low-dose aspirin was recommended for women who met high risk criteria for preeclampsia at HFH; in February 2019, aspirin recommendation expanded to include women who met either moderate or high-risk criteria. A total of 46,016 pregnancies occurred between Oct 2015 and Dec 2020 of which 15,167 (33.0%) met high and moderate risk criteria.

Incremental peritoneal dialysis (IPD) is a strategy of RRT that is based on the prescription of a lower dose rather than the standard full dose of peritoneal dialysis (PD). The clearance goals are achieved through the combination of residual kidney function (RKF) and peritoneal clearance. The dialysis prescription should be increased as the RKF declines. For the first time in Washington, D.C., an in-depth analysis of counterfeit pills has been performed as part of a larger initiative to understand the city's illicit drug supply. Over a 56-month period, 567 pills that were physically identified as a pharmaceutical were analyzed using gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and gas chromatography flame ionization detection (GC-FID). Single-use disposal systems products allow consumers to safely inactivate unused medication and provide an environmentally friendly alternative to flushing medication down the toilet or discarding in the trash.
