OBJECTIVE: To investigate intracranial lesion prevalence in children with central precocious puberty (CPP) and early and fast puberty (EFP), and assess impacts on progression and GnRHa response.
METHODS: This retrospective study included 1,087 CPP/EFP patients (2011-2023) who underwent brain MRI. Patients were stratified by MRI findings: no lesion, other (incidental) lesions, and pathogenic lesions (hypothalamic hamartoma/glioma). OBJECTIVE: Early puberty is development of secondary sex characteristics earlier than the expected normal age range. We subjectively observed an increased frequency of early puberty during the Coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) lockdown and aimed to show the clinical, demographic characteristics of the cases and the change in its incidence.

Benzophenones (BPs), widely used as ultraviolet filter in personal care products, were potential endocrine disruptors. However, epidemiological data of BPs exposure with precocious puberty (PP), one of the most common endocrine disorder in children, remain limited. Central precocious puberty (CPP) is characterized by early activation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis, which is apparent in the form of breast development in girls and testicular enlargement in boys prior to the typical physiological age ranges.
